If you’ve ever wanted the opportunity to develop a game for the first time, or get the chance to travel from side of the country to the other, this year’s Train Jam 2014 will let you kill two birds with one stone.┬áTrain Jam 2014, an event taking place where professional and aspiring game developers will develop a game while on the go, has been announced to be taking place this spring from March 13th-15th, 2014 by the events organizers.

Starting in Chicago and traveling to San Francisco, the Train Jam 2014 acts as a pre-emptive event to the Game Developers Conference that starts on March 17th, with the idea being to gather together developers heading to GDC and have some fun along the way.┬áDevelopers participating in the Train Jam 2014 will have 52 hours will on board to plan, develop, and create a game while on the way to GDC, “or stare out a window” as the website also mentions.

Currently, the sign-up page for the event only has coach class tickets available ($180.00 – one way from Chicago – San Francisco), but you can check out the event for more details on Train Jam 2014 and how you can be a game developer while traveling across the country.
