One of the most anticipated games of the year is now even anticipated’er; Serious Sam 3: BFE finally has a release date of October 18. Even better, it has a mindblowing retail price of only $39.99. In a day and age of crappy games being priced an exorbitant $60, this is an extremely welcome breath of fresh air.

As if that wasn’t enough, if you pre-order Serious Sam 3 on Steam, you’ll not only get 10% off the price, but you’ll also get an additional 10% discount if you already own an existing Serious Sam title on Steam. The latter still applies for those who don’t pre-order, so either way, it’s win-win.

My impressions of the game at E3 were extremely positive; it’s the most anticipated FPS of the year for me, by far, and that’s counting Battlefield 3. Still not convinced? Read on to see an amazeballs trailer.

Drooling yet? Check out the Steam page; the pre-orders don’t seem to be up yet, but it should go live soon.
