Hojo Tokimune Will Lead Japan in Civilization VI

Firaxis has revealed Hojo Tokimune as Japan’s leader in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, along with Japan’s unique unit and unique building.

Tokimune was the Eighth Shikken of Japan, and led the Japanese forces to victory against the Mongols in the 1200’s. He is also known for spreading Buddhism throughout the country.

Japan’s unique unit is the Samurai. They do not lose strength when damaged, unlike other units The country’s unique building is the Electronics Factory, which provides a big boost to both production and culture in nearby cities.

A First Look: Japan video was released, along with some screenshots. You can see those below. Sid Meier’s Civilization VI releases exclusively for PC on October 21.
