Homefront Sales Clear One Million Units

The new IP FPS Homefront is making quite the name for itself. Following reports earlier this month that the game had sold some 375,000 copies on the day it launched, publisher THQ has revealed that the game has sold more than one million copies. Additionally, they’ve shipped more than 2.5 million units globally. So yeah, lots of people are buying it.

THQ CEO Brian Farrell had this to say about the magnificent feat:

“We are very pleased with strong worldwide shipments and sell-through for Homefront, and we continue to fulfill new retail orders for the game across the globe. Homefront is clearly resonating with gamers and we are certainly pleased with our initial sales results.”

Even though Homefront is an FPS, and those are usually going to sell fairly well no matter what they offer, it is always good to see new IPs thriving in this franchise-dominated industry. Fans of Homefront should head over to our trophy guide for help getting the most of out the game. Gamers on the fence should stay posted for our forthcoming review.
