Since its first unveiling at E3 2014, Horizon: Zero Dawn has become one of the most highly-anticipated PS4 exclusives on the horizon (yes, pun intended), with the title getting a familiar voice to play the lead character of the title, Aloy.

Voice actress Ashly Burch has been confirmed to be playing the role of Aloy in Horizon: Zero Dawn, with the actress revealing her role in the game via Twitter and mentioning she was "honored" to play "a young woman who fights for and beside people of all races." Given that what we've seen of Aloy so far in trailers and gameplay highlight her independence and strong will, Burch's performance seems to lend itself to the character based on some of her acclaimed roles such as Chloe in Life is Strange.

Burch is a long-time voice actress from titles such as the Borderlands series, Life is Strange, and numerous other games and titles. Aside from her work in voice acting, Burch also hosts Geek & Sundry's Unplugged series, and was also a writer for Cartoon Network's Adventure Time.

Horizon: Zero Dawn will release for PS4 on February 28th, 2017 in North America, and arrives one day later on March 1st, 2017 for Europe and other regions around the world.
