Today, Sony and Guerrilla Games shared new information about Horizon: Zero Dawn‘s PS4 Pro enhancements.

Here's a rundown of all the salient information shared:

  • PS4 Pro players who possess a standard 1080p HDTV will still be able to get "far better image quality." This will be done by supersampling, a high-quality anti-aliasing technique that lets the game internally render at a higher resolution (close to 4K) before shrinking it down to the final 1080p resolution. This will result in more detail, including smoother edges, and a more stable image.
  • There will be shadow maps and antisotropic filtering quality enhancements. This will increase the quality of texture sampling, resulting in more detailed environment textures.
  • For 4K TV owners, higher resolution will be offered. This will come by Guerrilla rendering 2160p checkerboard, which will add a plethora of subtle details, from the stitching on Aloy’s outfit, to individual leaves and branches swaying in the wind, and more detail in all the machines and NPCs in the world.
  • High-dynamic range support will be offered, which enhances the range of colors that are displayed.

And that's it folks. Horizon Zero Dawn is set to release exclusively for PS4 on February 28th.
