Horror on the go? Sounds very Obscure…

I’m not sure if i’m the only one who missed this game’s first outing on the PlayStation 2, however you lucky, lucky survival horror fans.

Today, Playlogic Entertainment Inc. announced that Obscure: The Aftermath will be available to purchase on the PSP®, retailing in stores nationwide on September 29, 2009. This survival-horror experience will also be available for PSP®go System on October 1, 2009, shortly after the launch of the new hardware!

As for the plot? Obscure: The Aftermath is a sequel to the original Obscure, charting the lives of the survivors from Leafmore High, now enrolled at Fallcreek University where the unsuspecting student body has a new addiction – strange black flowers that have suddenly sprung up all over campus.  As the students begin experimenting with the substance they realize there is more to these flowers than anyone could have ever expected, turning their bad trips into a horrible reality..

Dimly lit corridors, demonic creatures, blood-splattered imagery – think Silent Hill meets Mission Impossible. But what makes this title so unique in the current gaming climate? Well – Playlogic also confirmed that this port will feature a 2 player wireless co-operative option!
Anyone else excited? … And spooked?

Hey there, the name’s Gary Marston! I currently reside in the small (and by small, I mean absolutely tiny) hamlet of Bretford, close to Birmingham in the United Kingdom. My main interests in life are entirely media-related. I’m a keen film-maker, journalist, performer and writer, however when I can – nothing entertains me more than settling down in front of the old trustworthy Playstation3 and immersing myself in a brilliant game! I'm very open minded when it comes to gaming - however I am a man's man... don't try pushing Barbie: Shopping Adventure on me DualShockers, cos I'm not that open minded!!
