Iga’s Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night Delayed; Now Targeting First Half of 2018

During the night an update was posted on the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter page, announcing that the game has been delayed, targeting a release (which isn’t yet set in stone) in the first half of 2018.

While this is a significant delay from the originally promised March 2017, Koji Igarashi mentioned that the delay has been decided to add a new development team on the game, and to “absolutely guarantee that the game is done right the first time.”

Igarashi-san also offered an apology, on top of a video message, which you can see below.

“The last thing I want to do is keep our backers waiting, but after receiving such incredible support, I feel responsible for delivering the best product I possibly can. Again, I offer my sincerest apologies.”

As usual, it’s worth mentioning that a delayed game is definitely better than a rushed one. Hopefully the additional time will give Igarashi-san and his team enough leeway to deliver a masterpiece.
