I’m Asian and Even I Can’t Explain Japan World Cup

RockPaperShotgun brings us yet another quirky indie game, except this time “quirky” means “WTF” and “game” means “betting simulator”. Japan World Cup is a series of Flash-based betting simulators based on horseracing, and it’s best you go into them knowing only that. I’m just going to say there’s more to it than just “horseracing”, as the header image definitely indicates.

Play all three volumes, and prepare for your brain to be seriously mind-banged. It’s all in Japanese, but you’ll figure out what to click soon enough.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
