As you may remember, late last year developer Mojo Bones and publisher Bandai Namco announced that their post-apocalyptic survival game Impact Winter was set to finally release onto PC sometime in early 2017. Today, the pair narrowed down that early 2017 window to April, 12, 2017.

In addition to announcing the release date for the PC version, the pair also announced that the game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One sometime in late 2017.

In Impact Winter players take the role of Jacob Solomon, a survivor of an extinction level event caused by a giant asteroid impacting Earth. The resulting destruction and death caused by this environmental catastrophe has plunged the planet into sub-zero temperatures, and covered its remaining inhabitants under unprecedented amounts of snow.

Just when Jacob thinks all is lost, he discovers a snow-buried church containing a group of people. Banding together with the inhabitants within, Jacob and the group will have contribute to the group’s overall survival by utilizing their individually unique skills to survive. Despite finding fellow survivors, hope is still bleak, that is until a radio transmission is received by the group promising rescue in 30 days, this message inspires the survivors to push on in their quest to stay alive. The only question is, will they survive and be rescued?

Here's a brief features list for the game:

  • Rescue-minus 30 days:

    • Rediscover the survival genre: strategize in a bid to lower the Rescue Timer.
  • Lead your team to survival:

    • Provide for your team and unite your skills in a freezing struggle for life.
