In the Open World of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Griffins Live Naturally; Trolls Teased and More

on April 26, 2015 4:03 PM

The Griffin has been a protagonist in many previews of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as it was the center piece of a demo that has been shown to the press for months.

It turns out, though, that it isn’t “the” griffin, but there are more, and they aren’t simple bosses, but part of the world’s natural wildlife, as mentioned by Lead Level Designer Miles Tost:

What if you prefer trolls to griffins? No worries, because there’s something in store for you too.

If you’re worried about how the game will look on a particular platform, again, worry not, as Tost confirmed that the team has been working hard on making sure everyone will be satisfied (possibly excluding the pixel counters, but those are never happy).

Community & Website Coordinator Marcin Momot also had info to share. Looks like no cheats have been introduced in the game. Am I the one that kind of misses the old times of cheat codes? It’s not that I used them much, but it was fun to look all around the place for them when one of the super-hard games of the old times really bested me…

Finally, if you’re wondering how Senior Games Designer Damien Monnier is feeling now that we’re so close to release, here’s what he said:

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
