Earlier today, we brought you the saddening news that renown creator of the Mega Man series Keiji Inafune was leaving Capcom, a highly regarded publisher, for whom he has worked for more than twenty three years. Capcom has professionally come forward to confirm this.
Capcom spoke of the departure saying:
“Mr. Inafune submitted his resignation on Tuesday October 19th. His resignation is effective from the end of November, but given outstanding vacation time he will leave the company at the end of October.”
Hopefully everything subsided on good terms. One can only wonder what’s next for the seasoned game maker. Working for the first company besides Capcom will certainly be an experience after twenty three years.
