Game of the Year talk and “Top 10 of 2013” lists are still popping up here and there, but for all the talk of the best mainstream AAA titles to be the best of the year, the Independent Games Festival panel is here once again to celebrate the achievements of independent developers with their annual awards.

The IGF 2014 jury panel has announced its list of finalists for the Main Competition, where nominated indie games will be up for various awards seeking to honor “the most influential and outstanding development in independent video games.” Overall, the IGF 2014 panel nominated over 30 titles that were released over the course of 2013, with over 650 qualifying candidates reviewed by “nearly 375 judges for evaluation.”
