inFamous Movie aBrewin’

Sony Pictures wants to make sure they can get whatever juice Cole McGrath can surge from his electric pores out, and into a money-making Hollywood title.  THR.com reports that the inFamous game has already been formulated into a screenplay by the writer of The Longest Yard, Sheldon Turner, to hit theaters god knows when.  The great thing about it all is that the movie is being produced by the duo Avi and Ari Arad who are also working on the Uncharted movie (you know, the story of Nathan Drake and his treasure hunting adventures).

What’s greater than having a badass with electric powers running around a city shocking the poop out of everything in his path?  Not to mention the M. Knight Shalamananana-whatever-the-hell-his-name-is twists that goes with the game.  inFamous has all of the elements of a Hollywood hit – a love story, action up the wazoo, and characters – both bad and good – with enough crap in their luggage to keep you entertained.  Hoping that the casting goes well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed.  I have yet to see a game-to-movie flick that was as good as Mortal Kombat.  And that, my friends, is saying a lot.  *Crosses fingers*
