inFAMOUS: Second Son GIF Shows Seven Times of Day with Different Light; First Look at the Map Revealed

on March 14, 2014 6:59 PM

Sucker Punch Productions published today a very interesting GIF showcasing Seattle’s famous Space Needle in inFAMOUS: Second Son bathed in seven different and spectacular lighting conditions as the story progresses.

What’s most interesting is that Tech Art Lead Jason Connell mentioned that there are eight different times of day in the game, not just seven. Why is one missing in the GIF? The only reason that comes to mind is that the eighth one includes a spoiler. For instance the game’s ending could have its own peculiar lighting condition and sky, and Sucker Punch doesn’t want to show that.

Since I’m curious like that, I actually asked Jason directly on Twitter, and he told me “These aren’t ALL of them! : )” So we’re left wondering on just how many different times of day there will be.

In addition to that, NeoGAF user hohoXD123 leaked a picture giving us the first glimpse on the game’s map. As usual since it includes very mild spoilers (in the form of the side missions we’ll have to undertake to liberate each district from the DUP), we hid it behind a link. You can find it here at your own risk.

Below you can find the GIF, and under it we added all the separate frames. The original is tad too fast, making it difficult to enjoy the different lighting conditions.
