Ed Boon, creative director of Injustice 2, teased on Twitter today the potential inclusion of two new characters in the upcoming DC fighting game. Unfortunately, those characters just happen to be the Wonder Twins, which means that this is almost certainly instead a joke for April Fool's Day.If you're unaware of just why this would be considered an April Fool's joke, it's because the Wonder Twins are widely considered to be some of the lamest superheroes of all time. The Wonder Twins are made up of Zan, the brother, and Jayna, the sister and they were first introduced in the 1970s in the kid-friendly cartoon Super Friends. Their powers activate when they bring their fists together which allows them each to take a different form. Unfortunately, the forms they took were often laughable and proved that their powers were quite pathetic. In a new trailer released this week, it was announced that Captain Cold and Scarecrow will be joining the sequel's roster. Also shown off in this new trailer was footage of Gorilla Grodd and Bane, both of who were already previously revealed to be in the game.Injustice 2 releases on May 16, 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One. There should be more legitimate characters announced for the game in the coming weeks leading up to launch.
