Insomniac Games' Spider-Man is one of the titles that have been used to showcase the PS4 Pro when it was announced last year. Yet, the developer maintains that it'll still look "fantastic" on standard PS4.If you're looking for a term of comparison, today Insomniac mentioned that looking at Ratchet & Clank should give an idea of the difference in visuals the game will display on the two consoles.

Ths isn't too surprising, considering that both Ratchet & Clank and Spider-Man run on Insomniac's own proprietary engine, so it certainly makes sense for them to have similar improvements on PS4 Pro.

We know that the game will run at 1080p, 30 frames per second on standard PS4, and 4K (using  the studio’s temporal injection solution), 30 FPS on PS4 Pro. Supersampling will also be implemented for those playing on 1080p TVs.

At the moment we don't have a release date beyond a generic 2018, but Sony Interactive Entertainment President Shawn Layden seemed to imply that the game will release in the first half of next year.
