Video games have been a major success for many decades now for the sheer fact that they're entertaining -- though sometimes frustrating.  However, games have cemented their way into our hearts because of the unique characters you are able to become.  Whether it be an Italian plumber,  a green-hatted sword wielder or even a flying fox, you are able to take a step back from reality and enjoy a pixelated fantasy ride.
