Iop’s Heart Means Business in the Newest Wakfu Video

Wakfu, Square-Enix’s upcoming strategy MMORPG, has some brand-spankin’ new gameplay to show you. And boy, does it look-a pretty good. The title, currently slated for a February 2012 release, is a spiritual successor of sorts to the 2005 Flash-based Dofus, which was published by Ankama games.

The latest video details gameplay and a few details on the Iop’s Heart class, the universe’s equivalent to the warrior or paladin job from other titles. The video, which is embedded after the jump, gives you a peak at three elemental attacks: fire, earth and air. One thing’s for sure: This game looks absolutely gorgeous. But will it play as good as it looks? Alexa has her impressions, but I guess the rest of us will have to wait until February.

The Final Fantasy Tactics-esque gameplay is enough to intrigue me, especially since, as Alexa points out, Wakfu streamlines the process and makes it a bit simpler. And putting it in the MMO realm? I like.
