iPad Games Set to InvadeThe iPad games are coming, the iPad games are coming. Yes, like Paul Revere, I am letting the world know that developers have released details for even more iPad goodness. Anyone thinking of making that big purchase and wondering what games will be available can wait no further. Activision, EA Games, NAMCO, and 2K Games have all announced titles for the upcoming iPod Touch giant brother.

Activision has announced GEOMETRY WARS: TOUCH and CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR: ZOMBIES are now available in the iPad App store. Geometry Wars will feature it’s original 6 game play modes: Deadline, King, Evolved, Pacifism, Waves and Sequence as well as a brand new adrenaline-filled mode called Titans which is exclusive on the iPad. Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies for iPad includes the Nacht Der Untoten and Verrückt maps, offering a limitless single player experience, as well as a highly-addictive co-op game play experience in high-quality 3-D!

NAMCO’s first offering to iPad gamers will be Pool Pro Online 3, PAC-MAN and Noby Noby Boy. Pricing for the three titles is about where people thought they would be with Pool Pro Online 3 available for $6.99, PAC-MAN for $4.99 and Noby Noby Boy for $1.99 (free with iPhone/iPod touch version).

2K Games has announced Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution Appfor the iPad. The game has been updated to fit the peripherals needed for the iPad. The game offers hundreds of hours of game play from legendary developer Firaxis Games. Exclusive to the app is the World/Scenario Creator, an entirely new feature which allows players to customize the world and game parameters to create hundreds of different scenarios and game types.

“Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution is already a huge success for 2K Games,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Now, the iPad’s large Multi-Touch screen and impressive capabilities allow for high resolution graphics; a larger viewing and playing area; and expanded gameplay functionality that extend the addictive ‘just one more turn’ gameplay that has been synonymous with the Civilization series for decades.”

And not to be outdone, EA Games has announced 5 new games available for the iPad:

SCRABBLE is set to return to the world of gaming. New to SCRABBLE will be the Party Mode, where gamers can link up their iPads for a whole new experience.

Tetris is still going strong and will make its debut on the iPad. Only on the iPad will you find the Endless mode for the ultimate extension in game play.

Need for Speed SHIFT will feature 28 of the fastest, hottest cars and enjoy physics-based 3D graphics optimized for iPad.

Mirror’s Edge is one of the most sought after titles for the iPad with a graphically rich, addictive experience, and 14 nail-biting levels of unrivalled 3D action. Only on the iPad will you find a multi-player feature which utilizes a split-screen interface, letting players battle against each other face to face in two thrilling modes.

Command & Conquer Red Alert will add a huge following to the iPad. It optimizes iPad’s Multi-Touch controls, large screen and high-fidelity graphics to create an expansive experience. Players can challenge friends in Head-to-Head multi-player mode via Wi-Fi and Blue-tooth between iPad and iPhone devices.
