Have you ever played a game on your iPad using its slick multitouch screen and thought, hey, this would be way better if there was less touch screen? Well, after questioning your choice of gaming platform, I might be inclined to recommend one of these. It's called a "Fling" Tactile Game Controller for iPad, from Ten One Design. The idea is that you can stick the little thumb pad over a virtual directional pad or joystick for a more familiar, tactile experience without obstructing your view of the screen.

The Fling controller is currently available in Apple stores everywhere, and you can pick up a single stick for $19.95 or a pair for $29.95.  They also come in Ice, Ninja, or Ultraviolet flavors (read: blue, black, and purple). I'll be interested to see how these things sell, since I'm actually completely out of touch with how seriously the iPad is taken as a gaming platform. What do you guys think? Are these something you'd consider purchasing to enhance your tablet gaming experience?
