iRacing Partners with RUF for a New Ride, BMW May be Coming Next

on March 28, 2012 1:15 PM

Yesterday Executive Vice President of iRacing.com Steve Myers announced through twitter that the company partnered with the German manufacturer RUF to bring a new car into its hyper-realistic online simulator.

Judging from the picture posted by Myers (that you can see above) the new ride is a RUF Rt 12 R, a 730 bhp monster with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a maximum speed of over 370 km/h.

Accordig to Myers the version we’ll be able to drive in iRacing will be the RWD one (the car comes with a 4WD drive train by default), and it will be developed and released after the upcoming McLaren MP4-12C.

Myers also teased fans of BMW by directly responding to a question from a player:

who said we aren’t working on a BMW for iRacing?

While it’s no official confirmation, it’s definitely a hell of a hint.
