Well, cry me a river: Team Meat’s The Binding of Isaac could see a Nintendo 3DS release. According to game co-creator Edmund McMillen, if another developer wants to take on the task of porting the game for the handheld, it’s all theirs. In fact, he says there’s a company that’s already asking Nintendo if it would be okay to do so.
In a game where you defeat enemies with your tears (no, seriously) and the maps and enemies generate randomly for every playthrough, it seems like this would be quite the task for anyone willing to try and make the game work on the 3DS.
John reviewed the game when it became available on Steam. He also hasn’t stopped talking about it since.
