It’s Official: The Witcher 2 is Coming to Console, and as an Xbox 360 Exclusive

The PC exclusive title The Witcher 2 has been getting glowing reception from critics and fans alike. It’s even been called Game of the Year material by some. Being a console gamer, I always feel pretty left out when PC games get this kind of reception because I’m usually unable to play them, just like last year’s StarCraft II.

Fortunately, this will not remain the case for The Witcher 2 because developer CD Projekt RED has announced at a conference today that the game is indeed coming to the Xbox 360. Rumors of a 360 version circulated around the time of the game’s PC release and it appears that the source was valid. The developer isn’t attempting to port the game, but is instead “adapting” it for consoles. The game will hit the Xbox 360 before the end of this year.
