I'll never forget the sleepless nights I spent playing Super Street Figther II on the SNES with my cousins back in the day. Well, now that I live so far away from home and some of them are either overseas in the Army or else back in Mexico, it sure would be nice to be able to relive some of those memories with a snazzy Virtual Console release of the game.

Well, at least it's possible in Japan. Yes, it looks like Super Street Fighter II is coming to the Land of the Rising Sun as a Virtual Console download for the Wii and, not only that, but it will be capable of online multiplayer. If the games had a fault on the SNES and Sega Genesis back in the day -- if they had a fault -- it's that the directional pad was no match for a joystick. Now imagine having all of that precision control with the added benefit of online matches (oh wait, you kind of already do.)

But it sure would be nice to relive those nostalgic moments with loved ones who are far away. Nintendo and Capcom: Y u no love ur fans?

Thanks to Nintendo Life for the tip.
