Japanese PS4 Holiday Commercials Are Pretty Hilarious

on December 10, 2015 9:14 PM

The holiday shopping season comes a little later in Japan than in the west, with most purchases made around the new year, even due to the tradition of gifting money to kids on New Years’ day.

This time around, though, Sony decided to focus its holiday commercials on young dads with two ads titled “PS4 Get Chance!

In the ads, the protagonist is worried because he doesn’t know how to persuade his wife to purchase a PS4. In the first commercial, his “chance” is the fact that his wife wants to see a TV show, and she can do that on PS4. On the second, she’s annoyed because their son plays with a soccer ball in the house, and with the PS4 she can play games without disturbing her.

Check them both below.
