Japanese Trailer for The Great Ace Attorney Shows a New Take on the Series and Sherlock Holmes

The Great Ace Attorney is currently a Japan-only prequel to the popular Ace Attorney series. The game follows Ryunosuke Naruhodo, a rookie attorney who moves to London during the late 1800s. Sherlock Holmes appears as a supporting character, sporting a gun that shoots chemical concoctions and goggles. Your rival this go around is known as the “Death God” of The Old Bailey, the Central Criminal Court of England.

The translation of the trailer, by way of Siliconera, reveal new features “Joint Reasoning,” and “Closing Argument,” Where Naruhodo and Holmes work together and turning the tide when a jury decides on a guilty verdict respectively. The Great Ace Attorney launches in Japan on July 9, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS with no word on a Western release date yet.
