The Wii U virtual console got a number of new games added to its selection today, including the beloved Mother 3. While this game was never officially released outside of Japan, many have been clamoring for a re-release for years.

As if to rub it in to the rest of the world, Nintendo has uploaded an official trailer that shows off Mother 3 running on Wii U. Check out the footage below, and if you're outside of Japan lament in what could have been:
