Developers Fusty Game and Midgar Studio and publishers The Sidekicks and Plug In Digital have announced that Jet Set Radio inspired Hover: Revolt of the Gamers is set to leave Steam Early Access and launch on PC and Mac on May 31st.

For those that don't know: Hover: Revolt of the Gamers is a futuristic open world 3D parkour game that is obviously -- very heavily -- inspired by Sega classic Jet Set Radio. Hover is said to take place in ECP17, a high-tech city based on a distant planet, where you're in charge of a team of rebels revolting against the new anti-leisure laws that are oppressing the city.

In the city, having fun is now illegal and the communications with the Galatic Union have been cut off. Equipped with high-tech gear, the rebels roam the city sabotaging the anti-leisure propaganda, helping citizens, and finding a way to reach the Orbital Station of the Great Admin in order to warn the Galactic Union and end this veil of oppression.

In the game, you can join up with friends online at any time and progress through the adventure with them or against them. No matter where you are and what you’re doing in the city, it'll be possible to connect to a server, instantly switching to multiplayer.

Hover: Revolt of the Gamers is currently $19.99 USD in Steam Early Access, where its been since April 6th, 2015. It's unclear if this price-point will transition to the final game, or if the price will be bumped up.
