Journey Beyond Byzantine in the E3 Trailer for the Post-Apocalyptic Turn-Based Bedlam

Publisher Versus Evil and indie developer Skyshine Games have released the E3 trailer for Bedlam, a roguelike turn based strategy game for PC sometime later this year. The video below showcases both the premise of the game as well as new gameplay. The player will leave the megacity Byzantine and travel through Bedlam to reach Aztec City.

Gameplay revolves around the turn based tactics we’ve seen before in Final Fantasy Tactics, Wasteland 2, and most recently Chroma Squad. It’s got a good Mad Max and Borderlands aesthetic, with the trailer promising marauders, rogue AI, mutants, and cyborgs to take on. It also appears the Mechanic stole Chris Pratt’s helmet from Guardians of the Galaxy.
