There has been a lot of gaming news for Kickstarter projects lately with titles like Shadowrun, Leisure Suit Larry, and more. Today’s spotlight falls on Kitaru, a game by Aoineko Studios, who has already surpassed 50% of its total goal with still twenty-six days to go.

The game promises to not only be DRM free, but also have a Linux version available.

Also announced was that veteran voice actor Yuri Lowenthal, along with his wife and fellow talented voice actress, Tara Platt, will be providing voice work for the new title. Lowenthal might be best known for his work in several video games and animated series, including the lead of The Prince of Persia and Cartoon Network’s Ben 10.

Tara Platt has also done several voice acting roles as well, including Temari from Naruto and Emeraude from Tales of Graces.
