Today, during the CEO 2017 livestream, CEO Founder Alex Jebailey made an announcement on behalf of the Killer Instinct development team.

Killer Instinct will be released on Steam later this year, which will be very handy for those who won't have an Xbox One or Windows 10, but would still like to play Killer Instinct.

Loyal customers will be eligible to perks, as Jebailey mentioned that all those who have the Definitive Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will be able to download the new character Eagle on top of Shin Hisako and Kilgore for free with the rest of the game.

Published by Microsoft Game Studios, Killer Instinct was initially developed by Double Helix Games before they were purchased by Amazon, and was then picked up by Iron Galaxy Studios, that has taken care of further development from Season 2 onward.

Killer Instinct is currently available for Xbox One and Windows 10. If you want to see more about the game, you can check out the recently released Eagle announcement trailer.
