Killzone: Shadow Fall Will Explore The Helghast Like Never Before

on May 14, 2013 3:13 PM

According to an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Killzone: Shadow Fall‘s director–Guerilla Games’ Steven ter Heide–has said that the game will explain more about the Helghast mythology than in any previous game.

“We were able to do more characters, to up the fidelity and all that, to really play with those elements and say what can we do? What can we take from that background to make an interesting setting. So that’s why we introduce a new conflict and a new situation,” ter Heide said. “Everyone was always talking about what the Helghast are like, what the world is like, the cultural and social aspects.”

For more on what ter Heide and executive producer Angie Smets had to say on Killzone Shadow Fall, and more on their help in the development of the PS4 and the DualShock 4, check out issue 84 of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, on sale now.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
