Kinect Hack Lets You be Batman

From the first announcement of Microsoft’s Kinect my opinion has largely remained the same; I have little interest in it for playing games, but very excited to see what other potential the hardware has. We’ve already seen some amazing stuff done with the Kinect, from building a statue of yourself in Minecraft or even using Kinect to actually play Minecraft, among all other sorts of insanity.

One enterprising group has done something that I don’t think anybody knew they wanted, but TOTALLY wanted. They’ve hacked Kinect to add old school comic book onomatopoeia to the video feed! Yes, now you can be Batman in real life! You have to be Adam West Batman, but that’s still awesome! Check out the video after the break.

John is what you might call something of a badass. When he's not writing about games or playing them, he's playing in the Kansas City band "Documentary" and drinking as many different beers as often as he can. He's a huge comic nerd in the best sense of the term, with a particular love for the Creator Owned movement.
