When we heard earlier that Skyrim would be receiving Kinect support in an upcoming update a lot of people were curious if the update would be applied to the PC version of the game as well using Kinect for Windows.

Unfortunately we've received official comment that for now Kinect support is going to be an Xbox 360 exclusive affair with no current plans for Windows support.

Here's what Erin Losi, Manager of PR and Marketing at Bethesda Softworks, had to say:

This is for 360 only. We don't currently have any plans for Windows support, but should that change we'll let folks know.

While this is indeed unfortunate news fear not as Kinect mods have been extremely prevalent and I wouldn't be surprised if some enterprising people out there are able to pull something together rather quick. Perhaps this will change in the future, though for now you'll have to go console if you want to scream at your game for your dragon shouts.
