King of Fighters XIII Demo Released for Xbox 360 and Dated for PS3, Patch to Address Online Issues Forthcoming

The King of Fighters XIII has been enjoying positive reception for many reasons, but unfortunately an airtight online mode is not one of them. The developers is aware of this, and they’ve released a press release confirming that a patch will be released to alleviate some of the problems. We should all commend Atlus and SNK for stepping up to the plate on this, as the online is a vital part of any fighter. Maybe they’ll add a spectator mode at some point. No further details are available on the patch at this time.

Aside from the few issues with the online, KOFXIII is very much a great game. You can ignore my opinion and try it for yourself now because a playable demo is now available on Xbox 360. The demo will make its way to the PSN Store on December 13th, which is just a few days away. Several gamers, myself included, have been playing KOFXIII online in spite of the issues, so this patch is fantastic news. It might even convince more players to check it out.
