An interview with Tetsuya Nomura in the back of the Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Ultimania guide revealed some interesting facts relating to upcoming Kingdom Hearts titles and Square-Enix's timetable for them. I'm not sure everyone thinks the same way I do, but here you go: I wish they would stop messing around with these hand-held Kingdom Hearts spin-offs and start actually working on another current generation, full-fledged KH game, which would be the third in the series. If you also feel that way, fear not. It appears, as was assumed to be true long before now, that KH3 is going to be developed, it is just a matter of when.

In the interview, Nomura said that Kingdom Hearts 3 development is dependent on how things go with Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Does the Final Fantasy game have to be done? Released? Nearly complete? Who knows. Now, in addition to KH3, Square-Enix has a couple other Kingdom Hearts titles coming down the line, one of which they hope to release this year yet, and another they want to focus on next year. Neither of these are KH3, so it is likely we won't see that game for a while. Still, it is comforting to know they are at least thinking and talking about Kingdom Hearts 3, even though it probably hasn't gone into full development yet.
