Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Gets a New Batch of Lovely Screenshots: PR Mentions “Full HD” for KH2

Square Enix just published a brand new batch of screenshots of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, that will be released exclusively on PS3 later this year.

The new gallery includes shots from all three games coming with the ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts II FINAL MIX (first six screenshots below), Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX  (screenshots from 7 to 12) and Kingdom Hearts Re: coded (last two screenies).

They look definitely sweet, especially if you love Disney, and considering the age of the games they come from. Interestingly enough, the original Japanese press release that came with the screenshots explicitly mentions that Kingdom Hearts II has been “resurrected and remade in Full HD,” hinting to the possibility that at least the older game will be displayed in native 1080p resolution. The same wording is not included for the other two games in the bunch, for which the PR just mentions a more generic “HD.”

We’re still waiting for a final release date for this new HD port of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, but hopefully we’ll hear more about it at E3.
