Though the game may be very far out into the horizon, the promises of Kingdom Hearts III are keeping many fans' hopes alive, and some change-ups in the development tech are being made to ensure the best possible Kingdom Hearts experience.

Director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that during development of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III that the game's tech will be switching from the Luminous Engine to instead use Unreal Engine 4, citing the change was made "for various reasons."

Though a few initial issues appeared from making the switch, Nomura assured that switching to UE4 will cause no further slowdown or issues - Epic Games will also be assisting alongside Nomura and their development team if any issues arise from the use of Unreal Engine 4.

Kingdom Hearts III is in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
