Konami Announces the Inevitable Metal Gear Solid Pachislot Machine

If you didn’t see this coming, raise your hand and go sulk in the corner. Konami announced today the brand new Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater pachislot machine.

The inevitable arcade gambling machine, belonging to a category that is still quite popular in Japan, especially among middle aged men, will be released this fall, and will actually come with a hell of a rig (at least for a pachislot).

It will come with a 32 inches 1080p LCD screen, delivering what Konami boasts will be the “next generation of pachislot and entertainment experience,” with “overwhelming sense of realism, high-end visuals and dramatic and thrilling story and battles.” No. I’m not making this up.

If you’re wondering what it looks like, you can check out the trailer below. The scenes from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in the trailer actually look very good, which might potentially make this all the more painful.
