Konami Employee Proves Geeks Be Buff, Too

on August 4, 2012 2:05 PM

I mean, look at those biceps.

Kohei Uchimura, an employee of Konami Sports & Life Co., recently won the gold in men’s individual all-around gymnastics – and he’s not alone. Konami has the honor of employing several Olympic athletes: along with Uchimura, Koji Yamamuro and Yusuke Tanaka also competed in gymnastics, and Takuro Fujii dove into the pool in swimming. The company is obviously proud (as they should be), since they have a page on their official site dedicated to showing off the geeky athletes.

Promotion of a healthy lifestyle not just for gamers, but for everyone is a goal to be admired. Together (and with the help of a few gyms), gamers around the world can prove that we’re not the slovenly stereotypes that people often think of when they envision us; we can rule in gym class, too.
