Latest Developer Diary for Operation Flashpoint: Red River Gives Us a Look at Multiplayer

Codemasters has released the latest developer diary video for their tactical shooter, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, which focuses on the game’s four co-operative campaign and Fireteam Engagements. Sit down with Adam Parsons (Executive Producer), Sion Lenton (Creative Director) and James Nicholls (Chief Games Designer) as they discuss the four key specialist roles – Rifleman, Automatic Rifleman, Scout and Grenadier – which form US Marine Fireteam as well as the multiplayer game modes that you’ll be playing.

In the Last Stand game mode, you’ll need to hold the position from invading enemies. In Convoy/Escort mode, you’ll have to clear the path for the convoy to be able to proceed. In Combat Search and Rescue, you’ll need to find pilots who have gone down behind enemy lines and last mode is a Combat Sweep mode, where you’ll need to clear out enemy insurgences. Definitely sounds like there is many of hours to be had playing through Operation Flashpoint: Red River when it releases on June 7th across North America on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
