Free to play third person shooter, Warframe has gotten a whole slew of new features and additions with update 11.5. On top of new weapons, skins and level expansions, fans will now get trophy support, the ability to customize their controls and a brand new Warframe.
The addition of custom controls is fitting for a game that lets you customize pretty much every aspect of it. Players can map the controls any way that they like and there are hundreds of possible layouts. The original button layout can be easily reset if needed.
Trophy support is pretty much a mandatory thing to have for PlayStation games and Warframe’s lack of them was noticeable. Players who have been asking for trophies should be very happy to finally have then.
A total of 20 Trophies are available, encouraging players to rank up their equipment, build items in the Foundry with collected resources, and participate in co-operative play; a key feature we like to emphasize in the Warframe universe. Co-op is king!
The last addition is the new Oberon Warframe.
Players using the new Paladin Warframe, Oberon, will make an immediate impact within their squad, assisting in all team efforts across the board. Whether you’re looking to assist your co-op bros with Oberon’s Renewal power or simply inflict effortless pain amongst your enemies with Smite, Oberon is the perfect balance for players looking to aid in both healing and dishing out the pain.
Here is a trailer that details the Oberon Warframe:
All of these features and additions should give new life to this PlayStation launch title. Personally speaking, now that Warframe has trophy support, I’ll hop back in and try to earn as many as I can.
Update 11.5 is available now.
