The Just Cause movie, announced more than a year ago, now has a screenwriter and a production studio. L+E Pictures, the production company founded by Eric Eisner – son of former Disney executive Michael Eisner – now officially has acquired the film rights and will begin developing alongside producer Adrian Askarieh.
Michael Ross has been chosen to write the script for the film adaptation. Ross’ previous credits include writing 2006’s Turistas and an upcoming film called Jar City.
We all know how video game-based movies tend to turn out. But with L+E Pictures’ previous moderate successes, maybe Just Cause will turn out differently.
