Le Tour de France Getting Official Game On Consoles

Cyanide Studios, makers of the PC strategy franchise Pro Cycling Manager, are taking their craft in a new direction, making a more hands-on sim in their new game, Tour de France: The Official Game. The developer says that Tour de France will be more fast-paced, focusing on actually competing in the races, rather than being a hands-off manager.

It’s set to come to PS3 and 360 on July 1st in Europe. No North America release date yet, but this doesn’t seem like a game that’ll get published over here. At least not on a disc. Sims like this are generally relegated to digital distribution over here (see: Euro Truck Simulator, Farming Simulator, Cities In Motion, etc.).

But who knows. Maybe we’ll get it at some point.
