Lead Designer at Relic Entertainment Dies Saving Family

Lead Designer at Relic Entertainment, Brian Woods, best known for his work with Company of Heroes, has died in a car crash at the age of 33. The unfortunate event took place when Brian and his pregnant wife Erin were driving home in Washington State last week. According to police reports, Woods is said to have maneuvered  his vehicle moments before being struck so that his side would be struck rather than that of his wife’s.

Erin Woods stated the following to a local newspaper:

“All the policeman say that if we had hit the car head-on all of us would be dead. At the very last second (Brian) braked really hard and turned right so that he would be put in the path of the SUV and not me and the baby, and that is the only thing that saved us both. I am not going to waste the gift he gave us.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Woods and his family at this time.
