League of Legends Makes Changes to Email Verification

on January 12, 2014 9:55 PM

Riot Games announced changes coming to the League of Legends involving email verification for “any and all” changes to account credentials.

This new system will send an email to the player’s verified account whenever a change is made. To activate email verification, a player can enable it by heading to the League of Legends and create a secure address.

Riot proclaims this is just the first of many more security changes and features to come. Other announcements are to follow within the year. Hopefully this verification change will make it harder for hackers to change a players credentials.

As an incentive, those who register an email account will receive a 4-win IP boost.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
