Today Nihon Falcom introduced new info and images of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III.

We get to take a look at the Kiseki Box limited edition, which will come with a special box, a mini soundtrack, a set of super deformed rubber straps, a 128-pages art book, and a Thors Military Academy Second Branch invitation letter.

We also get to see elements of the game's battle system.

Enemies have a "break gauge" that can be dropped by attacking with magic arts corresponding to their weakness, or special attacks with a high break rate. When the gauge is depleted, enemies will break, and drop items. At times there are enemies with a break gauge larger than their HP pool, so breaking them before they die is harder, but they'll drop rare items if that is achieved.

We also take a look at the "uplifted" status. Enemies in that condition deal critical damage on all attacks, take reduce damage themselves, and ignore the AT Bar determining the order of attacks. The only way to remove the uplifted status is inflicting a break on the enemy, but luckily they will take additional damage to their break gauge, so the player can survive this emergency situation by specifically aiming for a break.

You can check out the screenshots and Kiseki Box below, and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy the latest batch of screenshots showing Alfin, Elise and Cedric, and the previous one featuring the Stahlritter of Ouroboros.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will launch in Japan on September 28th, exclusively for PS4. No western release date has been announced for the moment.
