Given the overwhelming popularity and consistency of Traveller's Tales' entries in the Lego franchise, it is not a surprise that there many who cannot wait for the launch of the developer's next title, Lego City Undercover. In an interview with Nintendo Life, executive producer Loz Doyle, explained that:

There are so many vehicles, characters and missions. There’s so much content in the game already – you’re talking 40-50 hours to get 100%, it’s difficult to imagine what we could put in. We wouldn’t rule it out, but it’d have to be the right thing to fit with the rest of the game.

...Initially in the San Francisco area at the start of the game you’re really focused on the story, but as you get more abilities you’ll see things that had locked icons before that you couldn’t use, and now you can. That’ll encourage you to explore and use those different game mechanics and abilities.

It was also hinted that as the player explores the city of San Francisco, they will uncover numerous items and secrets that are hidden away in the metropolis' nooks and crannies.

Lego City Undercover is being developed by TT Fusion and will be published by Nintendo exclusively for the Wii U on March 18th, 2013 with releases in Australia and Europe to follow ten days later.
