Developer Bitbox’s upcoming title Life is Feudal: MMO places a great deal of importance on making friends and lording over them as a feudal ruler. In the most recent video provided by Bitbox, the team provides a breakdown on how to establish a guild and claim land for your people.

First off, you’ll want to get at least ten friends before you can formally establish your guild, but after that’s done, you’re ready to establish the culture you will lead based on the climate that you choose to inhabit. The video goes through the pros and cons of each land-type that Life is Feudal: MMO offers, from the dry heat of the grasslands, to the limited hunting of the winter-lands. Once you know where you will settle, it’s time to stake your claim on an easily defendable plot of land.

To claim your land, the video explains that you must build a Monument for your guild. Once your Monument is complete, the land is yours and no enemies can sneak into your lodging to steal from you or even enter your land without your knowing it. By sacrificing valuable resources to your monument you also strengthen your people and influence the world around you.

Recently, Bitbox released the “Forge Your Legacy in Life is Feudal:MMO video, which demonstrates just how difficult it can be to survive in this new world.

Life is Feudal: MMO is currently in closed beta and will be until July 21. The complete game will launch shortly after the beta has ended. You can watch the full video below.
